Catch the Excel mistakes before someone else does
DraftReview finds overwritten formulas, broken references, inconsistent copies and numbers that do not tie out — with the exact cell for each. Everything runs in your browser, so confidential workbooks never leave your computer.
- No upload, no sign-up
- Macros never run
- Works on Mac and Windows
Four tools for the files that matter
Use them on their own, or together when a file goes through several rounds.
Excel Error Checker
Find broken references, hard-coded overrides, inconsistent formulas, hidden sheets and external links.
Check a workbook →Compare Excel Files
See what changed between two versions, with formula changes and overwritten formulas ranked first.
Compare two versions →Excel Template Validator
Check returned copies of a template for changed labels, overwritten formulas and missing inputs.
Validate returned templates →Excel Reconciliation Checker
Run tie-out rules across sheets and files: totals, cross-references and required cells.
Tie out numbers →Your workbook never touches our servers
Most online Excel tools upload your file to process it. DraftReview downloads the checker to you instead. The analysis runs in a sandboxed Web Worker on your device, so client data, payroll and unreleased numbers stay where they are.
Nothing to approve
No vendor data processing, no file retention policy to review — there is no file on our side.
Deterministic, explainable
Every finding points to a cell and shows the formula or values behind it. No black-box AI score.
Fast on real files
Thousands of formulas are checked in well under a second on a normal laptop.
Built for people who sign off on numbers
FP&A and finance
Check forecast and budget versions before they go to leadership, and see what changed between rounds.
Accounting and close
Tie out schedules to the trial balance and validate returned reporting templates from every entity.
Audit and advisory
Review client workbooks for overrides and broken logic, and evidence the checks you performed.
Frequently asked questions
How can a spreadsheet checker work without uploading my file?
The analysis engine is downloaded with the page and runs in a Web Worker in your browser. Your workbook is read from your disk into the page’s memory and analysed there. We never receive it.
Who is DraftReview for?
Finance, FP&A, accounting and audit people who send, receive or review important Excel files — models, reconciliations, budget rounds, reporting templates and workpapers.
Does it replace a human review?
No. It finds the mechanical problems — overwritten formulas, broken references, inconsistent copies, missed tie-outs — so your review time goes on judgement, not hunting for cells.
Does it work on a Mac?
Yes. Everything runs in Chrome, Edge, Safari or Firefox on macOS, Windows, Linux and ChromeOS.
Check your next workbook before it goes out
Free, no sign-up, and your file never leaves your browser.
